	Grade 4: NY "State-cation" Fourth-graders continue their exploration of the world around them through the study of local geography. They learn how to find the four points of the compass by observing the sun and stars. They study and make maps of their classroom, the school, the neighborhood, the city, and the state of New York. The Grade 4's New York State Travel basket will help support your adventures within our state.
	Grade 6: A Night Under the Stars Geology, astronomy and physics are introduced into the curriculum for the first time in sixth grade. The students’ increasing awareness of their physical bodies makes it the right time to study the physical “body” of the earth in geology. After their attention has been drawn down deep into the earth, it is lifted to the heavens in astronomy. Enjoy and explore astronomy with the 6th Grade's Night Under the Stars basket.
