Private Cooking Class for 12 at the Auburn Watson Culinary Arts Center

Our award winning hands-on classes give you the opportunity to work closely with the chef using the finest professional appliances, cookware and cutlery. You and your friends learn cooking techniques by preparing the menu. Our highly trained staff makes sure you leave the class armed with the essential cooking tips and techniques needed to re-create the magic at home.

Knitting Class for up to 4

You and up to 3 of your friends can learn knitting basics from AWS Teacher Miss Megan. Participants will knit 2 two simple projects. Class will start with an introduction to tools and skills as each person works to complete the first project, a small knitted wash cloth (cotton yarn provided by instructor). The second and third classes will be dedicated to using the skills from the first class(in addition to a few new ones) to knit and assemble a stuffed animal as found in the A First Book of Knitting by Bonnie Gosse and Jill Allerton. The day and time of the classes will be agreed upon by both winner and Miss Megan. The classes will be held at the Aurora Waldorf School. Included is a copy of A First Book of Knitting.

Paintbrush Dreamer

One hour art lesson with a local wildlife artist and storytelling author, Wende Essrow in her studio on a Saturday. Lesson will be customized to the winner's age and interest. Art Supplies: Lyra Aquarelle Pencils (12 colors), Water color paint (3 large primary colors, 4 smaller colors), 2 paint brushes, watercolor paper, painting board, paint jars and wooden tray.
